SEUT Installation Guide

This tutorial will guide you through the installation of the Blender 3.0+ addon SEUT, its supplementary files and the additional required tools.

I. Download the Addon and Additional Required Tools

Download the latest release of the SEUT Blender addon and Havok Content Tools from the download-section.

Download the specified release of Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 from the download-section.

Install the Space Engineers ModSDK, which is available on Steam. Find and install it by activating Tools in your Steam Library. The SDK contains the source FBX models, which you can import with SEUT.

II. Install the Downloaded Files & Convert the Textures

Install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012.

Install Havok Content Tools and make a note of its installation directory - you’ll have to navigate to it later.

III. Set up the Addon in Blender

Additionally, you can join the SEUT Discord and KeenSWH Discord. While the former is the official place to get help with the addon, the latter generally has more active SEUT users checking it.

Lastly, please note that SEMREF nor the people on either discord are there to teach you the basic controls and functionality of Blender itself. There are hundreds of available tutorials online, in whatever form you prefer. A good starting point, for example, is the SEMREF page for Blender Tutorials. Please make use of that as it makes it much easier for us to teach you SEUT itself. 🙂
